Impact of the European Social Fund in the sector of Small and Medium Enterprises in Poland

Abstract

 The purpose of this article is to assess the impact of ESF on the state of the SME sector in the perspective of the programming period 2004-2006 and current 2007-2013. After presenting general conditions of the SME support by EU funds, has been married approximate direction of the aid, the size of which could benefit SMEs in the individual programming periods. Then the indicators are presented strictly SME sector, through which the attempt is made to assess the impact of ESF on the condition that the devel-opment of SMEs.
