Insurance as an instrument of credit risk transfer

Abstract
In the financial market there are many types of credit risk transfer instruments. One of them is an insurance. Credit risk is transferred to a specialized entity – insurance company. Premium is the cost of risk transfer. The aim of this article is to identify the importance of insurance as an instrument of credit risk transfer and analysis of the Polish market of credit insurance and guarantees.
