ODONTOGENIC MAXILLARY SINUSITIS PERFORATION (THEORETICAL COURSE)

Abstract
Maxillary sinus is anatomically neighborhood compared with the teeth of the upper dental arch. An important part of the maxillary sinus pathology is related to diseases of the teeth and periapical endodontic treatment maneuvers of upper arch teeth. One of the main causes of maxillary sinus morbidity of odontogenic origin is inferior maxillary sinus wall trauma, during and after, various surgical manipulations of the upper arch teeth. "Perforative sinusitis" - inflammation (acute, chronic) of maxillary sinus mucosa caused by a fistula wich make communication with oral cavity. Injuries and infectious of odontogenic origin are handled by the oral and maxillofacial surgeon and those of rhinogente origin by the Otolaryngol. Therefore collaboration between the two specialties is inevitable and desirable. Sinusitis harms not only by damage the patient's health, finding time to treatment, financial support for society, but also by the serious complications that can result. Study this section for future specialist is of great importance in preventive diagnosis, laboratory explorations, sending the patient of the appropiate sedion, treatment and record the dynamics of the patient after discharge.
