Region, Regionalism, Regionalisation. Conceptual and Terminological Explanations

Journal Title: Codrul Cosminului - Year 2013, Vol 19, Issue 1

Abstract

This study points out the proteiphorme dimension of the three terms-concepts used in the actually political and juridical-administrative vocabulary, in relation with the transformations produced both in the European and national areas, in connection with the phenomenology of regionalization and its adjoining process. Our analysis is focused upon the terminological aspects and underlines both the signification and the practical implications of these concepts, in an interdisciplinary interpretation frame.       We underline the importance of these terms in the European construction process. If they are difficult to prove an obvious relation between the regional politics of the European Union and the development of a regional tendency in Europe, they can say that the two phenomena cross and interfere themselves. The European integration and the regional tendency are not contradictory phenomena, but they join in the ample process concerning the new statute of the national state in a broader Europe. The regionalization and the regionalism don't only limit themselves at the regional politics of the bureaucracy from Brussels, so the process connected with the development of the regions involve very many factories.
