The effectiveness of the basic forms of professional activation in Poland in 2005–2011

Abstract
The labor market situation in Poland shows that the present mismatch between labour supply and demand are primarily structural in nature. This points to the need to improve the effectiveness of programs already in practice, active labor market policy. The article focuses on the efficiency of the basic forms of professional activation in Poland during the 2005–2011. The impact of ALMP is evaluated in accordance with the methodology normally used in Poland, that is in two dimensions – change in employment levels and cost efficiency. To achieve the goal will be presented as a theoretical aspect of state intervention in the labor market. In the following part of the paper will be analyzed the data presented in the Ministry of Labour reports for the years 2005–2011.
