The Importance of Returnable Instruments in Reducing The Equity Gap and Improving The Financial Security of The SMEs Sector

Abstract
The article discusses the problem of assessing the significance of the JEREMIE and non-grant financial instruments in reducing the financing gap faced by the company in the SME sector. The financing gap is a situation in which the entrepreneur featuring profitable investment project can not pay for it. The problem of the financing gap affects especially small businesses that do not have a long history of operation. Experiences with the implementation of the JEREMIE initiative in Poland on the one hand are positive, since they help to reduce the financial gap, on the other hand, it is necessary to improve, especially on the line manager of the fund — financial intermediary.
