Abstract: Kyllinga triceps rottb is commonly grown monocot grass of Gwalior Chambal region. In ayurvedic literatures it is known as musta. In various ethno botanical studies grass is reported to be diuretic, anti inflammatory,hepatoprotective and antidiabetic.
