NEW STATE REGIONAL POLICY IN UKRAINE – ROAD TO SUCCESS

Abstract
The article is devoted to implementation of state regional policy in Ukraine with due regard to application of in-ternational good practices. The article presents the mechanisms of achieving set goals, the status of implementation of specific activities, examples of application of the tools and coordinated actions of central and local executive bodies, local self-governments, as well as modern mechanisms of financing regional development used in Ukraine. Major fo-cus is on systematic problems which local self-governments face in the process of development of high-quality in-vestment and infrastructure projects. Positive changes which occurred during implementation of a new state regional policy have been revealed, and the tasks which need to be performed to ensure sustainable territory development have been identified.
