NOVELS OF INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION OF BROADCASTING ORGANIZATIONS: WIPO EXPERIENCE

Abstract
In this work, the author examines a number of issues associated with the legal protection of related rights of broadcasting organizations at the international level. At the same time, the instructions of the Draft Treaty on the protection of broadcasting organizations’ rights are laid down in the study, as well as formulated in the recommendations, working papers of the generalization of the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights of WIPO. In this work the conceptual apparatus of key terms and the legal nature of the object of protection are revealed, the scope and content of the latest property rights are defined, the exceptions and restrictions on the use of the content of broadcasting organizations are specified. Specific suggestions and recommendations for filling the existing regulatory gaps at both the international and national levels are presented.
