Numerical analysis of illuminant generation in photonic-crystal fiber for coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering microscopy

Abstract

The dispersion features of photonic-crystal fibers(PCF) are numerically simulated and the effect of parameters of PCF on its dispersion is obtained in this paper. Then the nonlinear propagation in photonic-crystal fibers of femtosecond laser pulses with center wavelength in 800.9nm is investigated theoretically. Finally supercontinuum generation in two kinds of PCF with different zero-dispersion wavelengths when the femtosecond laser pulses propagate in the fibers’s anomalous dispersion regime is analysed, taking high-order dispersion, self-steepening and Raman scattering into account.
