NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE FRICTION COEFFICIENT ON STRESS DURING THE EXTRUSION PROCESS OF PERFORATED MATERIAL
Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2012, Vol 241, Issue 1
Abstract
Numerical analysis of stress, forces, and temperature during axisymmetrical cold extrusion of an aluminium alloy specimen was presented using Deform 3D. The rigid-plastic model was applied. The influence of a friction coefficient on effective and contact stresses in perforated specimens with various holes located on the symmetry axis were analysed. Forces of the extrusion acting on the extrusion ram were analysed considering the influence of various friction coefficient values. Temperatures during extrusion processes with and without friction were compared. For exact analysis of the problem results of the extrusion, perforated specimens were compared with the results of the extrusion of non-perforated specimens.

POSSIBILITIES OF SHAPING THE WEAR RESISTANCE OF THE LASER BORONIZED SURFACE LAYERS ON MACHINE PARTS PRODUCED WITH STEEL AND CAST IRON
This paper presents the importance of laser techniques in shaping parts of surface layers with cast iron and steel. Laser boronizing was carried out using a CO2 laser with a nominal power of 2600W for multiple tracks. La...
DYNAMIC MODELS OF FRICTION IN THE ANALYSES OF THE TANGENTIAL CONTACT VIBRATION EFFECT ON FRICTION FORCES IN SLIDING MOTION
The explanation of driving force reduction in sliding motion under the influence of longitudinal tangential contact vibrations demands the adequate analyses of friction force changes caused by these vibrations. The resul...
TRIBOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF COMPOSITE COATINGS ON ALUMINIUM ALLOY PARTS FOR TRANSPORT MEANS
The present paper describes the structure, surface topography, and tribological properties of a DLC composite coating produced by magnetron sputtering on an engine cylinder liner AC-AlSi12NiCuMg (AC-47000) cast alloy as...
BIODEGRADABLE LUBRICANTS FOR TOTAL LOSS SYSTEMS
The objects of this study were oils for total loss systems with ISO VG 32, 46, and 68 viscosity grade. The oils were manufactured based on mixture of mustard oil with castor oil or rapeseed-methyl-ester. Antiwear, extrem...
INFLUENCE ESTIMATION OF SLIDING BEARING DETAILS OVALITY ON THE LONGEVITY ACCORDING TO GENERALIZED CUMULATIVE WEAR MODEL
The solution results of contact problem and wear for sliding bearing under the existence of bush and shaft ovality are given using the express-method of calculations. Single-area and mixed schemes of interaction in the b...
