Numerical realization of probabilistic model of composite material taking into account the damage evolution at high impact velocities
Journal Title: Вісник Тернопільського національного технічного університету - Year 2016, Vol 83, Issue 3
Abstract
A numerical simulation of strength of plates of a fiber-reinforced multicomponent composite material under impact with collision velocities ranging from 20 to 1500 m/s was made using the probabilistic model within the framework of the finite element method. Peculiarities of the process of energy absorption and plate damage dimensions depending on the impact velocity are analyzed from the point of view of key physical damage processes. A comparison of numerical results and experimental data on research of damage of composite plates after impact was carried out.

An economic technological mode of dies production according to the scheme: mold surfacing - annealing - mechanical processing - quenching – tempering. The results of research of applying of self-shielding flux-cored wire...
X-ray phase analysis of metal polymers based on aromatic polyamide
This paper analyzes the structure of metal polymers studied by the method of X-ray analysis. It is shown that introducing metal into the polymer does not directly result in creating new crystallization centers but simply...
Numerical modeling of complex two-level masstransfer in media of microporous particles taking advantage of the Crank-Nicolson method
Numerical solution for mathematical model of two-component diffusion in catalytic porous particles media has been proposed. The work is based on the results of previously proposed bi-porous model and considers diffusion...
Effect of ionic strength on electro corrosion in chloride and chloride-sulfate environments
Corrosion tests in 12 model environments simulating the composition of soil electrolytes at different levels of current density has been made. For the best comparative analysis, the ionic strength of the electrolyte has...
