Numerical Simulation of Thermal Processes Occurring at Testing Hydrostatic Pumps in Cavitation Mode
Journal Title: HIDRAULICA - Year 2018, Vol 0, Issue 1
Abstract
This article refers to the use of infrared thermography in the predictive maintenance of hydraulic drive systems. Based on experimental research on the temperature evolution in a hydraulic system which operates in cavitation mode, a numerical simulation model was built. The numerical simulation results are compared with experimental measurements in the points of interest of the hydraulic diagram versus numerical simulation model. The results obtained show that infrared thermal imaging camera procedure can be used in the limit of ± 10% errors as a predictive maintenance method in hydraulic drive systems.

A Method to Address the Fixing of Sealing Deficiencies at the “Ostrovul Mic” Left Bank, “Râul Mare - Downstream” Water Development
The present paper proposes a method for approaching the remediation of sealing deficiencies from the left bank of Ostrovul Mic water reservoir at km1+300 (Raul Mare – Downstream water development) by executing a drain at...
Influence of the Rotating Piston Shape on the Flow Rate of a New Type of Rotating Working Machine
The paper presents a new constructive solution for a rotating pump that contains two profiled rotors; each rotor has two pistons that may be triangular or curvilinear (oval). The area difference of the two pistons in a c...
Studying Transients in Water Supply Systems
Transient operating states occur in water supply systems under pressure. Transient operating states place such extreme loads on the pipes that they might cause burst water pipes, so to be able to avoid damages and operat...
Analysis of Intelligent Control and Interface in Pressurized Liquid Injection Systems for Competitive Technical Solutions
In this scientific paper, am approach based on Engine Digital Scanning (EDS) was applied in order to underline the performances of more than ten engine speed regimes on the same rally car, but with various intake manifol...
Algorithm for Optimal Design of Pressurized Toroidal LPG Fuel Tanks with Constant Section Described by Imposed Algebraic Plane Curves
The purpose of this study is to provide a tested, validated, and documented algorithm for optimal design of pressurized toroidal LPG fuel tanks with constant section described by imposed algebraic plane curves. Computer...
