Abstract
The following paper is dedicated to different visions of Polish maritime strategy among Polish Government in Exile during the World War II. The future development of maritime economy was one of the priorities of Polish Government, which was fully aware of economic and strategic benefits connected with the access to the sea and the port of Gdynia. According to the concepts of that time, Gdynia, as well as the other sea ports expected to become a part of Poland after the war (Szczecin, Kołobrzeg, Gdansk, Elbląg, Königsberg), were planned to become subjects of deep structural economic transformation. It was assumed that they are to become centres of supply for Central and Eastern Europe.
