Znaczenie szlaków handlowych dla powstania społeczności Suahili

Abstract
The goal of the following paper is to show the influence of the trade routes on the formation of the trade communities inhabiting the East African cities called Swahili. The Swahili communities were formed as a result of an impact of two kinds of influence spread by the trade routes. The first one was connected with the trade exchange and migration of African tribes to the coastal cities. The second one is connected with broad foreign contacts with the states of the Indian Ocean.
