Obesity as an interdisciplinary medical problem (PART II) Effect on human health

Journal Title: Medycyna Ogólna i Nauki o Zdrowiu - Year 2010, Vol 16, Issue 2

Abstract

The presented article is the subsequent part of the study concerning obesity complications within various systems and organs. An excessive body mass is the cause of many diseases, also considerably deteriorates prognosis, and in many cases leads to increased mortality. The reduction of body mass facilitates treatment of arterial hypertension, circulatory failure, and significantly decreases insulinemia, glycemia and lypemia. Obesity control should become one of the priorities of contemporary medicine.
