Oddziaływanie smogu z genami w chorobach alergicznych i astmie

Abstract
Air pollution exerts detrimental effects on the airways and leads to the development of numerous diseases such as allergic disease or asthma. However, the harmful effect differs regarding analysed population. And the most important in this aspect are interindividual differences, mainly age, gender and genetic predisposition. The aim of this review was to summarize the most recent papers on the interaction between air pollution and genotype on the disease phenotype as well as to review studies analysing the impact of smog on the alterations in gene expression associated with airway inflammation. It was also aimed to summarize studies on methylation status altered upon harmful exposure. ............................... Zanieczyszczenia powietrza wpływają na niekorzystnie na układ oddechowy i prowadzą do rozwoju wielu chorób takich jak choroby alergiczne czy astma. Jednakże szkodliwość wdychania zanieczyszczonego powietrza jest różna dla różnych populacji, a decydującą rolę przypisuje się różnicom międzyosobniczym takim jak wiek, płeć czy podatność genetyczna. Celem pracy jest przegląd najnowszych badań dotyczących oddziaływania między genotypem a zanieczyszczeniami powietrza na fenotyp oraz analiz dotyczących wpływu smogu na ekspresję genów związanych z zapaleniem w drogach oddechowych oraz zmiany epigenetyczne (metylację) rozwijające się pod wpływem szkodliwej ekspozycji.
