Abstract
One of the four cardinal symptoms in chronic rhinosinusitis in children is cough. This symptom also occurs in asthma. In chronic rhinosinusitis post nasal-drip syndrome is a common cause of chronic cough and wheezing. That is why in children with chronic rhinosinusitis asthma is often incorrectly diagnosed and anti-asthmatic therapy does not give the expected therapeutic effect. ............................... Jednym z objawów przewlekłego zapalenia błony śluzowej nosa i zatok przynosowych u dzieci jest kaszel. Objaw ten występuje również w astmie. Spływanie wydzieliny po tylnej ścianie gardła w przewlekłym zapaleniu błony śluzowej nosa i zatok przynosowych jest przyczyną przewlekłego kaszlu i zmian typu świstów nad polami płucnymi. Dlatego niejednokrotnie u dzieci z przewlekłym zapaleniem błony śluzowej nosa i zatok przynosowych diagnozowana jest nieprawidłowo astma, a włączone leczenie przeciwastmatyczne nie daje spodziewanego efektu terapeutycznego.
