Abstract
The article is devoted to the problems of development of legislation in the energy sector, creation of the National JointStock Company “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, on the basis of which the periodization of such development was carried out and directions of improvement of the legislation of Ukraine in the field under investigation were determined. The expediency of reforming the legal status of Naftogaz of Ukraine in connection with the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU is argued.
