Organic production in ensuring the goals of the concept of sustainable development

Abstract
The article outlines the main global challenges that agriculture faces today and which are associated with climate change and food security issues for the growing population. The concept of sustainable development is considered as a new world-view paradigm aimed to solve multifunctional problems, including those related to ensuring economic, social and environmental efficiency of agriculture. Through a series of indicators and their explanations, the relationship between the concept of sustainable development and organic agriculture is determined, the interpretation and peculiarities of organic farming technology of agriculture are given, its advantages are analyzed in terms of ensuring the implementation of the goals of the concept of sustainable development. The article also provides an analysis of standards and policy initiatives designed to regulate and ensure the development of organic agriculture as an important part of the concept of sustainability.
