ORGANIZATIONAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL IMPROVEMENT OF PRODUCTION FUNCTION OF HOUSEHOLDS IN THE SECTOR OF MILK PRODUCTION OF UKRAINE

Abstract

Introduction. The subject of the article is substantiation of the organizational and technological improvement of the production function of households in the sector of milk production in Ukraine. The significance of the study of households by questions of milk supply is caused by high market share of its production – from 71 % to 81,2 % between 2000 and 2015. Experts observed facts of unconformity of milk, that are produced by households, to national and international standarts. Thus the goal of the article is the grounding of stages and measures to improve the quality milk, that are produced of households, in the context of food security problem in Ukraine. Methods: method of analysis and synthesis, analogy, expert method, method of functional analysis, a method of statistical analysis of series of dynamics. Results. Peculiarities of milk supply of households in the article are revealed as component of their production function and its identity with farms of population. Wherein the following results have been obtained: −the essence of the concept “household” by comparision with concepts “farm of population” and” individual farm” are described; − the features of different functions of households – economical, social and ecological, and distinctions in public role of househols in cities and rural areas have been described; −the significance of transition to strategic approach for solving of the food security issues have been noted; − stages and measures to improve the milk quality, that are produced by households, in the context of food security of the population of Ukraine have been determined. Perspectives of futher research are concluded in methodical grounding of order of segmentation of households on possibilities to produce milk of appropriate quality and substantiation of mechanisms of state support of technical and technological renewal of production.
