ORTHOGONAL SPUR-BEVEL TRANSMISSIONS

Abstract
Half-involut orthogonal spur-bevel transmissions formed by involute spur gear wheel, have increased sensitivity to errors of manufacturing and assembling in the case of a linear touched links. In the case of contact localization, with the use of general producing surface, strongly marked point contact restricts the carrying capacity of the transmission. The article considers possibility of spur-bevel transmission creation based on spur gear wheel with flat side surfaces of the teeth. Some characteristics of transmission like geometrical parameters, line of contact, conditions of undercutting and the attributes of the localized contact there are studied.
