Abstract
The article reveals the concept of coaching in the field of higher musical education as a new creative method, determines the principles, presents its main musical and pedagogical characteristics. According to the results of the study, mainly coaching is conducted in the form of a dialogue between a teacher and a student. For the latter, it's just that he wants to work on his goals. The main task of the teacher-coach is to correctly build the problem, to push the student on ways to solve it, to organize monitoring and final control, and, in the process of all this, create a motivation. Coaching as a technology becomes possible when both of them accept and realize independent decisions. The main task of coaching technologies is to overcome the situation barriers that arise during the learning process.
