Особливості рівня макіавеллізму службовців бюрократичних установ (Levels of employees' Machiavellianism in bureaucratic institutions)

Abstract
The article presents the results of theoretical analysis of the problem of Machiavellianism in the organization. It was found that the levels of Machiavellianism and career development were positively correlated when employees had considerable freedom of action and were under little pressure of the established organizational regulations and procedures. The authors also analyzed local self-government civil servants and officials' career development and the role of their work experience in it. Mac-IV, adapted by V.V. Znakov, allowed finding the relationship between the bureaucratic organization employees' career development and the levels of Machiavellianism. Bureaucratic organization female employees on average demonstrated relatively low levels of Machiavellianism. The levels of bureaucratic organization employees' Machiavellianism had statistically significant inverse relationships with employees' bureaucratic service experience and career development. The bureaucratic service, which is strictly regulated, was a limiting factor for individuals with high levels of Machiavellianism. The authors emphasized a need for further research to find out the determinants of career development of female employees with low levels of Machiavellianism.
