Otyłość jako interdyscyplinarny problem medyczny, (Część I)

Abstract
W pracy omówiono następstwa zdrowotne otyłości związane z ryzykiem rozwoju zaburzeń i chorób, między innymi: cukrzycy typu 2, chorób sercowonaczyniowych, stłuszczenia wątroby czy zmian zwyrodnieniowych układu kostno-stawowego, a także pogorszeniem jakości życia. Przedstawiono również kontrowersyjne doniesienia o korzyściach zdrowotnych powiązanych z otyłością oraz o zaskakujących efektach związanych z powstawaniem czy zwalczaniem otyłości.
