Pacifist ideas in the publicism of K. Simonov

Abstract
In the article, the main stages of the evolution of Simonov-publicist’s skills are examined. He published articles, essays, notes and other small pieces of information, mainly in the “Krasnaya Zvezda” newspaper. In this correspondence, a great talent of the writer who skillfully combined creativity with publicist activity was manifested. In the presented article, some topics which were of paramount importance during the Great Patriotic War were highlighted. Their importance, relevance, and timeliness of publication were dictated primarily by the alarming time – they were supposed to reach readers, ordinary soldiers and unit commanders in the shortest possible time. The most priority direction in the articles was the idea of pacifism. In our opinion, despite the small volume of the article, they are considered on bright illustrative examples.
