PARADOXOGRAPHY IN THE HISTORY OF WORLD CULTURE: ORIGINS, MORPHOLOGY, SOCIO-CULTURAL DYNAMICS

Abstract

In all epochs of world history, mechanisms of demarcation of the cultural norm / anomaly function. Interest in the abnormal, all beyond the norm, does not remain constant; it intensifies in times of crisis development of society, the entry of societies into the zone of deep sociocultural transformations. The irrational side of the history of culture is represented by a set of artifacts of various nature and content that form its paradoxographic sector. The origins of paradoxography as a phenomenon of culture go back to the era of Antiquity, and the content reflects the growth of crisis phenomena in its culture. The subsequent change of the chronological taxa of world history alters the morphology of the paradoxographic sector, determines its boundaries in culture and the socio-cultural dynamics. The world of the imaginary era of the Middle Ages has an impact on the everyday life of the person of the era, the morphology of the paradoxographic sector is expan- ding. The sources of paradoxographic plots in the Renaissance, in the New Time and the Modern Age are not only science, but also technology, the development of which is an indicator of the formation of technogenic civilization. The dynamics of the paradoxographic sector is influenced by the development of communicative technologies, the entry of mankind into outer space. Paradoxography is a factor in the reproduction of postmodern neo-myths, the central place among which is Ufology. Paradoxography of the modern era is represented by a variety of historical sources, the scientific criticism of which requires the involvement of specialists in both the humanities and natural sciences and engineering.
