INTEGRATION OF RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL WORK IN PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF STUDENTS OF HUMANITARIAN FACULTIES OF THE UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The problem of the organization of scientific and research activities of students of humanities in the context of the compe- tence approach, implemented in higher education, taking into account the individuality of each student’s professional interests and opportunities for future employment is discussed. The role of humanitarian preparation for improvement of higher pedagogical education is highlighted. Specific of master’s degree preparation in a modern university is revealed. Approaches for analysis of higher education quality and preparation of universities undergraduates are exposed. The result of final attestation tests for professional competences formation assessment of graduating student and conforming of preparation to requirements of state educational standard of higher education is described. As a result of preparation and graduating students’ master degree dissertations defense has to demonstrate professional competences skills. Organization of master’s degree dissertation preparation process as independently research work, done by undergraduate student under supervision’s guidance on finishing stage of teaching on the main professional educational program of prepa- ration of master's degree is revealed. As a result of our research university undergraduate students’ research competence is considered. Importance of higher order of thinking skills development is exposed: independent search of problems study and authors’ methods of their decision with a further master’s theses research, containing scientific results. The necessary didactic conditions of high-quality preparation of undergraduate students to research activity are grounded: orientation of educational process (aims, content, methods and technologies, results and undergraduate students’ achieve- ments assessment) on development of research competences by an analysis and decision of modern problems of pedagogical education; organization of educational activity and selection of educational material in joint activity of teachers and students; educational process organization by problem method, blended learning, project work; digital, distance, reflection teaching; implementation of expert testing and self-appraisal skills of the formed competences in the educational process. Experience of pedagogical process organization of undergraduate students’ preparation in the Sevastopol State University is described.
