Parafrazy jako forma intertekstualności w nazwach osiągnięć wybranych gier wideo

Abstract

The article explores Polish names of chosen video games achievements (e.g. Diablo 3 series, Starcraft 2 and Goat Simulator) paying special attention to paraphrases (modified references to other cultural texts). The analysis indicates that intertextual modifications of achievements are most often created by substitution of one word comparing to the prototext. The references are made to Polish and foreign cultures but the most frequent references are to mass/ popular culture. Humorous and surprising paraphrases in names strengthen the emersive character of achievement systems. L’objectif de cet article est d’analyser les noms polonais de trophées dans des jeux vidéos choisis, notamment Diablo 3, Starcraft 2 et Goat Simulator. Une attention particulière sera attachée aux paraphrases qu’on retrouve dans ces noms, c’est-à-dire des références modifié es à d’autres « textes de la culture ». On montrera que les modifications intertextuelles des noms de trophées résultent le plus souvent de la substitution d’un vocable par rapport au proto-texte. On retrouve dans ces paraphrases des références à la culture polonaise et celle étrangère, des références à la culture de masse/populaire étant pourtant les plus nombreuses. Si amusantes et surprenantes qu’elles soient, ces paraphrases renforcent le caractère émersif des systèmes de trophées.
