PEDAGOGICAL CREATIVITY PECULIARITIES OF A PRESCHOOL EDUCATOR

Abstract

The determinants facilitating improvement of a preschool educator’s pedagogical creativity are described in the article; it has been proved that preschool education is called to provide emergence and development of child’s creative abilities, since this is the preschool age when main directions of child’s further personality development. It is substantiated that today’s social and pedagogical conditions within Ukraine demand a creative, initiative and inventive educator who is able to get adapted to changing life situations, to think critically, to react to new society needs, to realise himself / herself in creative professional activity. It is grounded that a contemporary educator must be creative being able to represent learning material in non-traditional innovative way, to organize pedagogical work at a preschool establishment in an interesting way, to enable children to express themselves as creative personalities. There are given evidens that preschool-aged children’s success and achievements depend directly on educator’s personality, his / her professional preparedness and creative potential; this is the educator on whom the innovations in modern contents, organization and methods of the educational process depend as well as how far they will be implemented into working practice with children. It is substantiated that preschool educator’s activity facilitates designation and further development of child’s potential abilities; there have been considered the requirements set by society and pedagogical science to contemporary preschool education, to be more precise the necessity to create optimal conditions enabling education of an active creative personality. It has been grounded that improvement of preschool educator’s pedagogical creativity is proved to be nowadays one of the priority tasks in the sphere of education within Ukraine, the USA, Germany, Japan, though it has its own traditions stipulated by peculiarities of national educational systems. Some argumentations are given; they are: only a creative educator can facilitate the formation of preschool child’s creative personality; preschool educator’s creative personal potential is realized in the process of his / her professional activity. The phenomenon “preschool educator’s pedagogical creativity” has been defined; its specific features have been described; their theoretical background has been represented. It has been proved that this is preschool educator’s pedagogical creativity that allows him / her to implement modern educational curricula targeted to junior and senior preschool children; to solve complicated situations arising within the psychological-pedagogical process in establishments of preschool education, which enables practical implementation of tasks aimed at preschool children’s creative development.
