Journal Title: Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal - Year 2024, Vol 19, Issue 9
Abstract
The main aim of the study is to evaluate the quality of PE teaching and learning as well as determine the experiences of students in the PE blended-online delivery mode. Utilizing both quantitative and qualitative research methods, where a purposive sample of 1456 GPE 3 and 4 students participated in an online survey via Google form. The statistical treatment was done using Mean, Paired T-test and Pearson r. The results revealed that the PE students are generally satisfied with the quality of PE teaching and learning during the shift to blended-online delivery mode amidst the COVID-19 pandemic both in the main and branches. Students have demonstrated commendable levels of learning outcomes or competencies in PE knowledge, skills and behaviors. However, when the in-depth interview results were coded and categorized into themes, the respondents raised opportunities for improvement to further enhance the quality of PE teaching and learning. Teachers are also worthy of being asked not just about the quality of instruction but also about their struggles during the blended-online delivery mode.
