Penerapan Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD pada Materi Listrik Statis untuk Meningkatkan Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik

Abstract
The lecture method was the most method used in learning process at the school. With the approach of lectures, learning activities are dominated by teachers, so that students were passive and their motivation were low. The students assume that science is very difficult, so that they were lazy to learn it. This could be seen by midterm result, the average value of a class was 61,88 and the classical completeness was only 60% . It was need learning to motivate students, thus learning activities became a fun activity for students. The aim of this study was to examine the STAD cooperative learning approach to the motivation students, so that the activities and learning outcomes of students increase. STAD cooperative learning has a main idea to motivate students to assist each other in completing the task and ready to work independently in the test. If the students were already motivated, the activities of students increase and the quality of learning improve. Improving the quality of learning will have a positive impact on learning outcomes of students. After STAD cooperative approach is applied , motivation of students and students activity increase, as well as learning outcomes of students. The final result shows that an increasing in learning activities around 71.9%, the percentage of completeness around 87.5% and an average grade around 76.38%
