PENGARUH STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN PREDICTION GUIDE BERBANTUAN MIND MAPPING TERHADAP MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the influence of Prediction Guide learning strategy assisted Mind Mapping to student motivation and cognitive achievement in class VII SD SMP Negeri SATAP 2 Lingsar. This research was QuasiExperiment, with the quantitative and qualitative approach and designed Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampling was conducted by saturated sampling. The sample has amounted 17 students for control class and 17 students for experimental class. Data were collected using observation sheets of RPP implementation, motivational questionnaires and cognitive achievement test on the material classification of living things. Motivation questionnaire data and cognitive achievement were analyzed using the t-test, and results showed that motivation in experimental class was higher than the control class, for t-test students, motivation was showed that t count 10.55 while t table at the significance level 5% 2.04 so that t count > t table then Ha is accepted. The cognitive achievement of the experimental class students were given the Prediction Guide learning strategy assisted Mind Mapping showed that higher than control class, and t-test for cognitive achievement showed that t count 6,39 while t table at the significant level was 5% 2.04 so that t count > t table then Ha be accepted, so that Prediction Guide learning strategy assisted Mind Mapping given influence for student motivation and cognitive achievement in VII grade, SD SMP Negeri SATAP 2 Lingsar.
