Perception of the EFQM excellence model application in terms of market success

Abstract
The paper presents general information about the EFQM model and the Competition for Wielkopolska Quality Award (WNJ) and their importance in the implementation of TQM. Characteristics of excellence model has been extended to issues of motivation and barriers to its implementation and effects of its use based on research results from the literature. Next, the procedure of WNJ competition and profiles of several finalists who have made a successful implementation of EFQM model are presented.
