PERSONALITY TRAITS OF IT SPECIALISTS

Abstract
The article represents results of the empirical research of 72 respondents who work and study in IT industry. 26 people work at IT companies and have experience from 3 to 8 years. 46 people are computer science faculty senior students. Gender composition of the respondents was almost equal – 35 women and 37 men. Control group consisted of 112 people who work and study in the humanitarian sphere: lawyers and philologists. In our research we studied the following personality traits which influence specialists’ professional success: cognitive (creativity level, causometry), motivational (psychosocial attitude) and emotional (level of anxiety and stress management). We discovered positive differences of anxiety level, group climate perception, and creativity depending on specialist’s status and area of business.
