PESQUISA EM EDUCAÇÃO E EM EDUCAÇÃO MUSICAL: PERSPECTIVAS E DESAFIOS NO CONTEXTO BRASILEIRO ATUAL

Abstract
Educational research and specifically music education research have been developed significantly in recent decades, although there is still great potential for this growth due to lack of tradition in these fields compared to other areas such as sciences and health. This exploratory review discusses some points that will help you comprehend more about this gap of educational research in relation to other fields in Brazil. For this, we introduce issues about knowledge hierarchy and current barriers for researchers, as well as important characteristics of the area to think about educational research. This discussion is also related to Brazilian educational history. Thus, we can emphasize the importance of the dialogue between research institutions and schools, besides the value of educator’s posture as teacher and researchers to this field’s development in order to contribute to both theoretical and practical aspects of education, specifically on music education.
