Pharmacological Uses and Isolated Chemical Constituents of Ipomoea Digitata: A Review

Abstract

The plant Ipomoea digitata belongs to Convolvulaceae family. Ipomoea is the largest species of this family. This plant is found throughout the tropical and subtropical region. In India the plant is taken as raw food. From the ancient period of time this plant was used as hypoglycemic, anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant, and aphrodisiac agent. The present work was about the review of different pharmacological properties and isolated chemical constituents of the plant Ipomoea digitata.
