Philosophy – Education – Training. The Triangle of the Success of Educational Process

Abstract

The article analyzes the connection of the complementary components of philosophy, education and training, which ensure the educational process success. It emphasizes the falseness of the postulate of the traditional pedagogy concerning the entirety of educational process, in which education as usual is interpreted as one of the functions of training. It is shown that such an idea is one of the reasons for education and training disbalance. Of course there is some interconnection and interpenetration here, but this entirety is understood not as major integration, but as total value. It is proved that the problem of the educational process disbalance can be solved on the basis of philosophy that is the foundation of genetic affinity of knowledge, abilities, moral imperatives and social values. Pedagogy, if it does not have any philosophical comprehension of its own goals and tasks, acquires the prescriptional character, becomes a set of soulless instructions, rules, and directions. It is shown that the humanistic V. O. Sukhomlynsky’s pedagogy is the example of vital force of harmonious combination of philosophy, education and training, who, as if cultivating the ancient Greek ideological ideal of ''paideia'', in the educational process gives the priority to the inclusion of a man into a multidimensional complex of culture and nature, and only then to education. It is proved that V. O. Sukhomlynsky’s pedagogical system has not only enriched pedagogical science with innovative ideas, made invaluable contribution both to theory and practice of education and training, but also initiated a revolutionary stage in the reformation of the national educational system.
