Abstract
AGNIESZKA CHWIALKOWSKA (The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin) Photographic portraits of artists and culturally-(not)present Michel Sima This article is dedicated to the photographic activity of a forgotten artist Michel Sima. It concentrates on series of portraits of the artist known at that time, reffers to the motif initiated by Nadar and continued, among others, by Man Ray and Michel Sima. Because of the general lack of knowledge about the artist of Polish origin, a biography of Sima was included in the article.
