Phraseological units with adjectives “white” and “black” in the French and Ukrainian languages

Abstract
The article is dedicated to the comparative analysis of color concepts (particularly white and black) in French and Ukrainian phraseological units. The author has researched the image system of color terms inside a phraseological unit, as well as psychological basis of formation of а phraseological meaning. She has also separated specific semes of French and Ukrainian color terms as evidences of specific national features of the linguistic world image, displaying elements of nation’s material and spiritual culture.
