Journal Title: Na Ratunek - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
First aid is a set of actions taken to rescue persons with acute health risk, performed by a person on the scene. The most popular organizations in Poland dealing with the development, implementation and promotion of the most effective methods of life saving are the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and the American Heart Association (AHA). While analyzing the subject matter covered during first aid courses organized by selected organizations, we observed a large flexibility in transferring knowledge on first aid in life-threatening emergencies.
