Pleuropulmonary blastoma in 3 year old child - A rare case report
Journal Title: Medpulse International Journal of Radiology - Year 2018, Vol 7, Issue 1
Abstract
Pleuropulmonary blastoma (PPB) is a uncommon, aggressive, dysontogenetic, and malignant tumor of originating from intrathoracic (pulmonary, pleural, or combined) mesenchyme.1,2The purpose of this case report is to increase the general awareness for this entity so as to recognize this rare entity early in its course, since type I tumors (resembling congenital lung cyst) can progress over time to aggressive type II and type III tumors. Therefore, early histological recognition and differentiation from congenital airway malformations like bronchogenic cyst and other benign cysts like duplication cyst, neurenteric cyst are very important.

Role of diffusion weighted imaging and apparent diffusion coefficient in diagnosing abdominal and pelvic pathologies in 3T MRI: A retrospective cross-sectional study
Background: Diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) and Apparent Diffusion Coefficient (ADC) mapping have been widely used for various applications in neuro imaging, but not exploited enough in abdominal imaging in the present...
Unusual presentation of non hodgkin’s lymphoma in forearm
Extra-nodal, extra-axial presentation of Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is rare. We present an uncommon case of Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in an elderly woman who presented with a swelling in the right forearm. Initially considered...
A study of single umbilical artery and its associated findings at tertiary health care centre
Background: Nearly 1 in 100 liveborn fetuses are diagnosed with single umbilical artery (SUA) Aims and Objectives: To Study Single Umbilical artery and its associated findings at tertiary health care centre. Methodology:...
Magnetic resonance imaging evaluation of pituitary gland height and shape in relation to age and sex
Introduction: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is the most suitable modality for the evaluation of pituitary gland pathologies. Knowledge of the normal dimensions of the pituitary gland is needed to differentiate normal...
A study of diagnostic accuracy of MRI in the contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in diagnosis of meningitis correlated with CSF analysis at tertiary health care centre
Background: Meningitis is a significant health problem worldwide and can be a life-threatening emergency if not suspected, appropriately diagnosed, and managed expeditiously Aims and Objective: To Study diagnostic accura...
