POETICS OF SPONTANEOUSNESS IN POSTMODERN NARRATIVE
Journal Title: Записки з романо-германської філології - Year 2015, Vol 1, Issue
Abstract
The article focuses on specific features of textual space of postmodern narrative and on definitions of basic notionsт of postmodern poetics. It is proved that the key poetic means and devices of postmodern narrative are narrative rhizome, transformed narrative technics, hypertext, digitised textuality, which in the process of spontaneous writing lead to narrative chaos, quazireality and language improvisation. The research also traces stylistic means and compositional devices typical for American short story as a literary genre, viewed from their evolutionary perspective within three consecutive periods in its development − prepostmodern, postmodern, and postpostmodern.
