Poezja na łamach prasy codziennej w 1870 roku. Prolegomena (na materiale „Kuriera Warszawskiego”)

Abstract
This article analyzes the presence of poetry in Polish daily newspapers in the second half of the nineteenth century, exemplifed by lyrical poems printed in the year 1870 in “Kurier Warszawski”. Verses were often published in this newspaper. Tey were written by poets of various generations, ofen employed as regular contributors (i.e. Władysław Szymanowski, Aleksander Michaux, or Wiktor Gomulicki). Taking into account the profle of daily newspapers, serving primarily as just a source of information, the artistical level of the verses published in “Kurier Warszawski” was extremly high. In contrast to such newspapers as “Dziennik Polski” or “Kurier Codzienny”, occasional poetry in “Kurier Warszawski” was marginalized.
