Abstract
The article is an attempt to describe one of the most interesting implementation of the “aesthetics of common sense” by Bolesław Prus through his announcement of Lucyna Ćwierczakiewiczowa’s cookbooks (365 dinners for fve) and calendars (Calendar year … Carol for housewives), poetic works of art. Te author considers the meaning of the introduction of similar comparisons to the content of the Chronicles and shows that the innovative vision of the „poeticalness”, present in newspaper columns of the chronicler, stemmed from his humorous outlook.
