ПОНЯТТЯ «ГРАФЕМНА КОМПЕТЕНЦІЯ» ТА ЇЇ ФОРМУВАННЯ НА ПОЧАТКОВОМУ ЕТАПІ ВИВЧЕННЯ КИТАЙСЬКОЇ МОВИ

Abstract
Though being promoted by government of People Republic of China, the Chinese language still remains exotic and challenging for non-Asian learners, with writing system as the main obstacle for reaching the top professional or even advanced level. Before learner comes to actual literacy development he has to build grapheme competence which is basic structural knowledge about Chinese characters. The article deals with the contents of grapheme competence (such as basic strokes and stroke order rules, evolution of character) and explains why semantic and phonetic elements should be taught in the first months of character learning. The author shares her experience in teaching characters for the first-year students.
