POP SINGING AND ITS APPLICATION IN THE MUSICAL FILM THE FIRST HALF OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract

The article focuses on the genre of "musical film", distinguishing its role in the context of culture of first half of the XX century. It was emphasized that the emergence of musical films contributed to the growth of the intensity of the music industry. Due to the success of the musical film, which is a synthetic type of art, the formation of mass culture took place, performances of songs from films on the radio were carried out, plates and notes were distributed. The musical film became a form for the adaptation of musicals, operettas, as well as original tapes, where music was given preference over other types of art. It was emphasized that the role of musical films was in the desire to create a positive atmosphere, to form optimistic perception of the world, to satisfy the aesthetic needs of spectators and listeners. It was noted that the impact of musical films on the development of pop and jazz vocal art was significant, as the introduction of styles prevailing in foreign music and the development of singing skills were encouraged.
