POR UMA TEORIA RETÓRICA DO DISCURSO: PRINCÍPIOS TEÓRICO-METODOLÓGICOS

Abstract
In a attempt to describe the rhetoric/argumentation subject in its complex unity, this paper proposes a Rhetorical Discourse Theory which starting point is the argumentation, aiming at showing that, in relation to it, the rhetoric of a discourse as a social práxis simultaneously rational, aesthetic and politic is configured. Considering this aspects, the Theory is supported by the theoretical and methodological principle that the justification, development and negotiation of a thesis organizes the rhetoric of a discourse in three integrated and complementary argumentative dimensions: Rational, Aesthetical and Political, respectively.
