POSITIONING THE SENSOR IN SAMPLING FLOWMETERS
Journal Title: Metrology and Measurement Systems - Year 2008, Vol 15, Issue 1
Abstract
Flow-rate measurements have very important meanings in industry. The sampling flowmeters are devices which can be used for measuring the flow-rate in situations where full-bore flowmeters cannot be used for technical or economical reasons. The main problem in the flow-rate measurement with the help of sampling flowmeters is optimal positioning of the sensor in the pipe. When we use a mathematical model of a sensor and a mathematical model of an object, we can theoretically optimize the position of the sensor in the pipe.

MEASUREMENTS OF UNSTEADY FLOW PARAMETERS IN PIPE-RECEIVER AND PIPE-TURBOCHARGER SYSTEMS
In the paper, the characteristic features of an unsteady flow in two systems: a high-volume pipe-receiver and a pipe-turbine are described. The tests were made under the conditions of a pulsating pipe supply in the range...
DYNAMICS OF CONTACT THERMOMETRIC SENSORS WITH ELECTRIC OUTPUT AND METHODS OF ITS IMPROVEMENT
The paper deals with selected aspects of modelling dynamic properties of contact thermometric sensors and reducing the dynamic error occurring in measurement of time-variable temperature as well as in measurement of cons...
THE EVOLVING SCIENCE OF MEASUREMENT
This special issue of Metrology and Measurement Systems contains an updated and extended version of selected papers published in the proceedings of the XVIII IMEKO World Congress, held in September 2006 in Rio de Janeiro...
GIANT MAGNETORESISCANCE IN SPINTRONIC CO/PT NANOWIRE STRUCTURES
We used electrodeposition for growing of pure metallic, alloy and multilayer nanowires. Electrodeposition of cobalt/platinum nanowires was achieved in the cylindrical pores of a commercially available nuclear tracked pol...
NEW CONCEPT OF A MEASUREMENT PROBE FOR HIGH IMPEDANCE SPECTROSCOPY
The paper presents a new measurement probe working as the input circuit for a high impedance spectroscopy analyzer. The probe allows to measure impedance in the range of 100 Ω < |Zx | < 100 GΩ. The probe extracts t...
