Possibilities of Alpha-lipoic Acid Use in Treatment of Diabetes Mellitus Complications in Children and Adolescents

Abstract
The article deals with one of most common complications of diabetes mellitus — diabetic polyneuropathy. It is proved that alpha-lipoic acid is a drug of pathogenetic treatment of such pathology. Through the example of study of 100 patients with diabetes mellitus there was shown the efficacy of alpha-lipoic acid drug Berlithion at diabetic polyneuropathy in children and adolescents.
